Stefan Lindfors is a Finnish-born Designer and Artist. This website is solely about Lindfors’ work as a Sculptor. By presenting selected recent sculpture projects we’re looking for new commissions by institutions, museums, cities, and corporations that are interested in collaborating with us.
In 1992 Lindfors received the largest cultural award in the Nordic countries. The jury called him a “Renaissance Man”, and the London Times wrote “Calling Lindfors an Industrial Designer would be like calling a Stravinsky symphony a nice song”.
As a Sculptor, Lindfors’ main focus is on his commissioned large-scale sculptures, such as “Winged Victory” for SWATCH at the Olympics in Atlanta in 1996, and the sculpture façade for the Gershwin Hotel, which The New York Times declared “A New Landmark on Manhattan” in 2001. His 20-meter high permanent monument “Skydreamer” in front of Helsinki International Airport was unveiled in 2017.
Recent and upcoming sculpture projects in 2020 - 2021 include creations for city centres, cruise ships and hotels, and Lindfors is currently working on a sculpture for the façade of a building, scheduled to be unveiled next fall.
